Loaded coal for the power plant at Terrell, NC, gets a hard push from these 2 AC units. For some strange reason these are manned DP units on the back of this 110 car train. After the switchbacks, the crew DP'd the train for the push to Yuma. At Yuma the crew unlinked, and returned these 2 units back to Loyall. Here the train struggles up the 1.29% grade out of Big Stone Gap on the NS Appalachia District. At MP 7 the train passes some ex- Southern signals as all the power pounds the grade. CSXT uses the NS from Big Stone Gap to Frisoc to access the Clinchfield.
