Caboose hop. CPR had over nearly 1,200 "vans" of this classic design. The S-11 was a Montreal Locomotive Works update of the 660 H.P. S-3 and S-10 introduced in 1958. It retained the 539 engine and associated electrical equipment in a new, MLW designed body. Only ten were built for the CPR.
