| Tomkins Cove Quarry - A southbound autotrain pasts through a quarry that is situated on the western bank of the Hudson River. Stone-mining operations ceased here in 2012. The rusted structure is an enclosed stone aggregate conveyor , which was used to move the quarried stone over the railroad and to the loading docks so that the stone could be shipped by barge. |
