| Reaching the Summit - The 6,288 ft summit of Mtn. Washington was mired in clouds all trip so this Summit was settled for. Originally #1 of the Green Mountain Cog Railway, this steam locomotive became Mount Washington Cog Railway #4 Summit. It was later renamed Chocorua and then renumbered and renamed as #8 Moosilauke. It was retired in 2009 and a few years later donated to the village of Twin Mountain and placed on display at the junction of Route 3 and 302. Since that time it has been refurbished and renamed back to #4 Summit. |
