A wetter than usual rainy season has left southern California not only green this spring, but also created conditions for a lot of wildflowers to bloom. Metrolink train 858, heading from Oceanside to downtown San Bernardino, is approaching Prado Dam, at the eastern end of Santa Ana Canyon. (The dam, which helps control the Santa Ana River and is still wearing its Bicentennial paint from 1976, is visible just above F59PH 852.) This four-car train has just crossed from Orange County to Riverside County, and will be making at stop at the West Corona Metrolink station, two miles ahead. (Corona, California - April 27, 2019)
