It is a gorgeous late spring afternoon at Magnolia, WV - deep in the Potomac River valley - as the 5355 East exits Graham Tunnel and crosses the river prior to entering Stuart Tunnel. The more direct Magnolia Cut-off tunneled through these mountains as alternative to the very circuitous original mainline that followed the contortions of the river in this region.
