| "The Lineup"
Three of the Southeastern Railway Museum's more notable diesel-electrics. From left to right:
CSX 8954: The museum's newest & most powerful locomotive. Built by the Electro-Motive Division of GM in August of 1974, this SD45-2 was ordered by the Seaboard Coast Line as their 2049 & it's worth noting that not only is it the first SD45-2 to be set aside for preservation, it still retains the original 20 cylinder 645E3 prime mover.
Georgia 1026: An EMD GP7 built in October of 1950 for the Georgia Railroad. More info can be found in a previous photo found here: https://www.railpictures.net/photo/683041/
SRM 3: A GE 50 Tonner that's recognizable as being the primary locomotive seen operating on the property. |
