The crew takes an opportunity to confer as Penn Central train BL-1 waits for the signal to proceed onto the Midland line at Readville, MA. Train BL-1, running between Boston and Lowell, MA, via Walpole and Framingham, was the final regular assignment for PC's ex-NH Alco cab units, which at the time could be found in A-B-B-A or A-B-A lashups on this run.
