I should have spent today packing for a two week trip home to Alaska that begins tomorrow, but instead I let my friend John Kittredge sucker me into another day trackside.
I dare say the procrastination was worth it!
An authentic former New York, New Haven & Hartford FL9 is on home rails as an an original NYNH&H lantern casts a warm glow on the out of service siding at the Cohasset Narrows bridge in Buzzards Bay, MA. The vintage EMD is trailing the Cape Cod Central's Train to Christmastown that is pulling down to the depot right around sunset as the 1935 Cape Cod Canal lift bridge dominates the background. |
