At 7.13 PM, the second last train of the day, "Allegra" ABe 8/12 # 3514, pulling two empty freight cars for log, is running through the spiral of the Brusio viaduct from Tirano to Poschiavo (and further to Pontresina-Landquart). A 66 second exposure. The viaduct has 9 arches of 10 meter span width and is 142 meter long, the hight is between 7 and 17 meter. From Poschiavo, this railcar is running as freight # 5676 over the Bernina pass to Pontresina, then as freight train # 5378 via Samedan-Vereina to Landquart, where it will arrive around 11 PM, to ran a service on the Arosa line the following day.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
