In the early 1970s, N&W power often ran through all the way to Oak Island on the Apollos and returned on other Buffalo trains. This is the only time my father saw six-axle N&W power on the LV. I suspect that once the LV banned their own six-axle power, the C628s, from the western half of the railroad, N&W six-axle power was also banned. R.T. Steinbrenner Photo
