Before a large swath of storms would strike the area and wreak havoc later this day, NS 130 heads through Vance, AL under deceptively blue skies. Storms are on the horizon for this and other well worn elderly spartan cabbed SD70’s in the NS roster. NS is retiring these former show ponies and venerable work horses in batches for a new rebuilding in the SD70ACC program. 2545 is seen passing one of more subtle landmarks to be found in Vance aside from the large intimidating Mercedes Benz plant.
