| Bringing UP 9000 back to life (in a sense) on a warm, August evening, reenactor Robert Smith steps into the time machine that is the massive 4-12-2's cab and strikes a pose. Giving the illusion that the 1926 product of ALCO is under steam, a pair of fog/smoke generators are strategically placed out of site and are quietly humming as they produce a shroud of "steam" to the delight of the attending photographers. As with past year's night photography sessions here - all professional lighting was provided by well-known railroad photographer Steve Crise. |
