An eastbound Gateway Western Railway freight skirts by Santa Fe Junction as a westbound Union Pacific freight passes overhead on the approach to the Kaw River Bridge at Kansas City, Missouri, on September 15, 1990. It’s pretty obvious that GWWR No. 2038 is a former Conrail EMD GP38.
