At the end of the Ashmont to Mattapan “High Speed Line,” Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) PCC streetcar No. 3263 has just arrived at Mattapan station on September 12, 2003. This station, which serves busses as well as this 2.6-mile extension of the Red Line from Ashmont is operated exclusively by vintage PCC streetcars. This line was closed in 2006-07 when several stations along the line were rebuilt including this one.
The MBTA is very dear to me. The first trains I ever rode as a toddle to teenager were those of the "T" Here is a collection of MBTA Subway and trolley I have found on RP from the 60's thru today.
