P881, the last MARC train for the night arrives at the Caperton Station in Martinsburg, WV with a Siemens SC-44 Charger #82 locomotive doing the duties on what is believed to be the first revenue run of a Charger on the Brunswick Line between here and Union Station on May 7, 2018. CSX Q416 is passing by on track one as another reminder of freight and passenger sharing the rails. Thanks to member Jim Johnson for the heads up on this move.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
Tier IV locomotives are the safest, cleanest, and most fuel efficient locomotives on the rails today. Unfortunately, most of them are ugly and are as quiet as an ACS-64.
