A colorful locomotive consist leads a northbound Burlington Northern Santa Fe freight into Wind River Canyon as crosses the Wind River between Piper and Dornick, Wyoming, on July 8, 1999. BNSF warbonnnet-painted C44-9W No. 793, former Santa Fe EMD SD40-2 No. 6902 and a former Milwaukee Road, now EMD leasing SD40-2 power the train over BNSF’s Casper Subdivision.
