Ready for Departure. The first passenger train on the third and final day of the 2011 Fall Spectacular sits on the platform at Orbisonia Station, ready to make its run north toward Shirleysburg. On an adjacent track to the right, a freight consist awaits a special move later in the day. On the near track, EBT Mikado #12 "Millie", which was named for the late Nick Kovalchick's daughter, sits on display. The 12 is the smallest of the EBT locos and has not operated since the early 2000s, when FRA Part 230 pretty much put an end to the 4-engine Spectaculars at the EBT.
A look at the one-time coal-hauler, which ran as a tourist railroad for decades and finally ceased operations in 2011. The album includes photos from an October 2010 charter as well as images from the very last Fall Spectacular in October of 2011.
