WPSX coal gon No. 1626 has wreck repairs done at Union Pacific’s De Soto car shop in Missouri on September 28, 2011. The damaged portions of this side of the car have been removed, with mechanical department employee Marilyn Butenschoen using a grinding tool to cleaning up and polishing the surfaces that will soon be mated with new aluminum stock. Some further damage on the other side of the car can be seen in the far corner.
