Things Fall Apart: The peeling striping on ALP-46 #4659 creates a fitting metaphor for the morning commute on NJ Transit's Northeast Corridor Line on Thursday, January 11, 2018. Like those decals, the morning commute was falling apart. Power problems caused delays which led to a wall-to-wall crowd building on the New York-bound platform at Metropark. One can imagine the frustration of those commuters seeing the express train bypass the station while they await their morning local train and further delays en route to New York.
