| Inspecting 'Walonger'. On leap year day 2016 a three car Union Pacific inspection special climbs the Tehachapi grade just below Marcel, giving officials on board a close-up view of the progress being made to link Walong and Marcel sidings. At upper left a BNSF westbound can be seen holding the main for the eastbound special. Bringing up the 'markers' is UPP 150 'Sunset', once the crown of SP's business car fleet the Sunset was once assigned to the Presidents of the Southern Pacific Railroad. |
