With winter around the corner I thought I would flash back to the very snowy winter of 2011. On 2/4/2011 the WSOR Spreader worked west from Waukesha, WI to Janesville, WI. At Janesville the plow train headed south east toward Fox Lake, Il. The Fox Lake line is the Wisconsin and Southern connection to Chicago interchange at the Belt Railway.
The EMD SD (special duty) series are a strong and reliable kind of locomotive which still serve America's rails today. They have proved themselves reliable by clocking in several million miles of freight service over several decades.
