After months of hard work, the Boston 01400s took to the rails for the first time since their retirement 23 years ago. Making their debut journey on Transit Day 2017, they "ran like the wind" as they were once described when they were delivered to Boston MTA in 1963. The train was standing room only and extra runs were made to satisfy the many visitors wishing to experience part of history.
