An early morning westbound gas train approaches Brewster with four Wheeling SD40s and a visitor from the Allegheny Valley (WE 3046/6352/6381/6353/AVR 3004). It may not look like a gas train here, but the first tank car is barely visible behind the gons. The former SD40X leader was just icing on the cake!
The EMD SD (special duty) series are a strong and reliable kind of locomotive which still serve America's rails today. They have proved themselves reliable by clocking in several million miles of freight service over several decades.
