Remarks & Notes
Amtrak’s Winter Park Express ski train lays over in the siding at Fraser, Colorado, on January 7, 2017. The train takes skiers from Denver to Winter Park in the morning, with the empty train laying over here, returning to Denver Union Station in the evening. Amtrak EMD NPCU No. 406 and three Amtrak Superliners—one coach and two coach/baggage cars—were specially-wrapped by sponsor CenturyLink for the train that operated Saturdays and Sundays in January to March 2017. The train is returning for the 2018 season.

The Winter Park Ski Train has taken generations of Denverites to the slopes. Started by the Rio Grande and now operated by Amtrak, it's the best way to get there.

Cab cars are special built coaches that are heavier than normal and have a cab for push/pull operations. This also includes NPCUs, but not road slugs.
