With a trio of turbocharged, dynamic braking equipped Electro-Motive General Purpose "Geep" units as power, the crew of NX-12 throttles up 3601 as they approach the Sand Road crossing south of the village of Canaan, Connecticut with forty-one cars from the previous day's NX-13 in tow. Once at Canaan Union Depot, NX-12's power will disconnect and wait for the crew of NX-11 to add six cars to their consist before recoupling and making the run to Pittsfield, Massachusetts to interchange with CSX.
