Remarks & Notes

Before the revival that began in the late 1970s, many off-peak Chicago commuter trains were rather modest affairs. A Burlington E8 that had became the property of Burlington Northern five months earlier leads a single gallery car and a generator car on a midday local inbound from Aurora, seen leaving the stop at La Vergne.
