NS 23Z crosses the Monongahela River approaching Duquesne on the short Port Perry Branch that connects the Pittsburgh Line and the Mon Line. The tracks in the foreground are those of the Union Railroad; the CSX main line through the Pittsburgh area is located on the far side of the river.
