Remarks & Notes

A pair of Norfolk Southern SD40-2s is parked in City Yard in downtown Knoxville, TN. NS 3272 was built as Southern Railway 3272, and its original high short hood has been replaced with a low hood "admiral" cab designed by NS. NS 3562 was built as Burlington Northern 8149. The locomotives are viewed from the N. Broadway St. overpass.
