| Central Pacific No. 1,The Gov. Stanford, a 4-4-0 built in1862 in Philadelphia. It was shipped around Cape Horn from Boston to San Francisco. From there it shipped up the Sacramento River to Sacramento where it was reassembled and used in the construction of the Transcontinental Railroad. |
