Over a mile of JB Hunt containers for Georgia make their way across BNSF's transcon through the southwestern state of Arizona. While the southwestern region of the transcon is known for its desert landscapes and red rock cliffs, the railroad reaches a high of 7,000 feet above sea level as it crosses the Arizona Divide. On the last day of March, snow storms are still occurring on the mountain as the BNSF Railway fights the weather to keep trains moving.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
