Remarks & Notes

A CNW ore train, led by SD40-2 6916, crosses under Hwy 553 north of Swanzy, MI in June of 1988. You could see B52's take off and land from AFK Sawyer AFB at this time. The B52's have been replaced by an industrial park but few ore trains run this way anymore since Empire Mine has closed.
