One of the few ways to see an MTA Metro-North Railroad engine on the south end of a train is to catch the Holiday Train while it is visiting employee facilities. On December 15, 2016, we catch P32AC-DM leading through Ardsley-on-Hudson with the 3 MNR Office Cars. In the background, we see some of the remaining New York Central Railroad electric poles and a signal bridge, and a look further beyond shows the Tappan Zee Bridge.
The GE Genesis series are well known for being Amtrak's locomotive. With confirmation of retirement from Amtrak themselves, their time is limited. Now is your chance to catch them before the chargers arrive!
