Still working the bugs out
G485 is slowly moving again after the PTC system forced them into an Emergency Brake Application due to the fact that it was unaware if the switches off the siding track into the yard tracks were lined for their movement. This stoppage forced the crew to tie down the train and reset the brakes. Then the conductor had to release the hand brakes and thus perform a roll by inspection once the train was moving again as seen here. All in all they lost over an hour before they could proceed south again. Fortunately for them, there was no oncoming traffic delayed by this. |
