Railfanning is all about luck, and today... luck was definitely on my side. After getting pelted by heavy rain and hail for a few minutes, the sound of the RBBB Circus Train could be heard and the sun came out. However, the train was going so slow it ended up stalling out in the only open spot along the trees next to the tracks. As the train stopped, a rainbow appeared. The crew put the second motor online and proceeded ahead to Pinecliffe, Colorado to meet the eastbound Amtrak. The train is stopped at the daylighted Tunnel 28 and will soon enter Tunnel 29 on June 13, 2016.
For the train and storm chaser. Trains with thunderstorms, dark clouds, rain, lightning, hurricanes - tropical storms, funnel clouds, storm light, rainbows, and snow storms.
