Remarks & Notes |
BNSF 1096 leads a quartet of Heritage I GEs west on a stack train headed to Seattle. The train has been climbing the Chumstick sutoff west of Leavenworth, WA and is about to duck into the Chumstick tunnel, the first of three tunnels that will get the train back over to Winton and the banks of Nason Creek for the final climb up to the Cascade tunnel. 1997 was the summer of Heritage I in the Cascades. |
