| Long on my railfan bucket list, a trip through the southland in the summer of 2015 afforded an opportunity to pass through Augusta while railfanning our way north from Atlanta destined for Spencer and the 611's rebirth party. We arrived in Augusta with no clue as to if or when one of the the R Line's few trains trains might be due in. A pass by the small yard office and a chat with the friendly crew gave us a heads up that southbound 155 wasn't far off so we set up on 6th street and less than an hour later were rewarded. What a treat to finally see this street running after all these years. |
