| In a scene normally traversed at night and with mountains reminiscent of Glacier Park hundreds of miles to the north, a late-running California Zephyr is seen racing across the high desert on a peaceful summer morning between Ruby and Wells on the old Western Pacific mainline. The impressive peaks to the west are the Ruby Mountains. |
