| BNSF 8235 races an eastbound Z train past the Rock Island dam east of Wenatchee, WA as it approaches Albus siding and the beginning of a 16 mile climb out of the Columbia River valley to Quincy, WA. The South Seattle-Chicago Z trains were reinstated in time for the Christmas season intermodal traffic surge on the northern transcontinental mainline after an absence of about a year. This train featured 2 DPUs on the rear. |
