On Sunday, March 30, 1980, Roger Puta photographed the Union Pacific Director's Special touring the Western Pacific after the UP announced its intention to purchase the WP. Senior board member Harriman was aboard and very elderly and frail. His car SHOSHONE was on the rear. On Roger's scanner was heard a request to slow the train down as Mr. Harriman was to walk from the diner to his business car (due to his frail 90+ year condition). A Roger Puta Photograph
