Trona Railway's potash train begins its trip towards Searles, Calif. to interchange with the Union Pacific as dust sets over the Mojave Desert. With air crisp and cold, the sounds of former Southern Pacific and Union Pacific SD40s locomotives can be heard clearly as they pull a long string of cars out of the Trona plant at whopping 20 MPH
Photographs where trains and people mix, weather it's street running, plant switching or carrying a unit grain train out of an elevator, it will be put here.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
