After having picked up a few coaches, train 13010, the Doon Express from Dehradun to Howrah (Kolkata) stands ready for departure behind a dual-cab WDP-4D (EMD GT46PAC, built at the Diesel Locomotive Works in Varanasi, with a 16-cylinder 710 engine under the hood.)
Station name signs in India are typically written in three languages - Hindi, English and the dominant local language (or whichever comes next, if Hindi is the local tongue.) In this case, I believe - though I'm not certain - that the third language on the sign is Urdu. Notice that the ends of the platform shelter are painted too.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
