Watching and waiting had finally come to an end at Northern Maine Junction later in the afternoon of November 30, 2015 as Pan Am Railway's NMWA finally got its paper to head West for Waterville. Photographers from all around had converged at NMJ for the chance to catch GP9 #52 leading a mainline road job on former Maine Central iron. With it's re-crew aboard and less than two hours of daylight left to work with, we managed a handful of spots before ending at the Route 2 bridge in Carmel, Maine. The sun would be gone within 20 minutes.
