A brand-new heavy SD70ACE leads a manifest up the Pritchard Creek Horseshoe Curve. The steep grades between Pocatello, ID and Hinkle, OR make for some of the most challenging places to operate trains on the Union Pacific. It was one of the few places on the pre-merger Union Pacific that operated daily helper locomotives. Note: the DPU mid-train helpers on the lower leg of the curve.
