I dug into a box of slides taken in the year 2000 and discovered this series of shots---all of which I had forgotten I had taken* (the Forest Gump "life is like a box of chocolates" phenomenon). These were taken at the Kentucky Railway Museum in New Haven, KY in October of that year, during the L&N Historical Society's annual convention. Obviously L&N 152 is one of my very favorite restored steam locomotives, and I sincerely hope it gets rebuilt and back in service soon.
*I had shot five rolls of slides that weekend. Four of the boxes were where they were supposed to be, but one box had been misplaced in the wrong storage box. I just found it in a random search for another group of slides. If you misfile something, you might as well have tossed it in the landfill (unless you just happen upon it, as I did this one-----15 years later).
