At the time of this photo the Illinois Central had been under CN control for about a month, but things still look like the old IC as this local heads south on the Grenada District behind a pair of GP11's. Those head cars with "pulpwood loaded the old fashioned way" made it even better. The lead unit, IC 8733, is preserved at the Monticello Railway Museum today.
