| 1722D being heavy lifted onto an awaiting articulated flatbed trailer. On the 18th September 2013 a consignment of 24 ex Queensland Rail locomotives arrived by sea in Durban, South Africa. 16 were for RRL Grindrod South Africa and 8 for African Rail & Traction Services (AR & TS). 20 travelled to Pretoria under their own power in 4 lash-ups of 5 locomotives each, while the remaining 4 (presumed non runners) made the trip up from Durban by road on flatbed trailers. |
