CN2329 loads coal late in the evening, on the steep Luscar industrial spur. The grade here is about 1-1.3%, however the rear of the train is tipped over a steep 2.7%. This is mountain railroading to its extreme on the CN. The 3 motors brought a rock train into Cadomin earlier the same day, and are now loading the 2nd 50 car section of a Luscar Coal train. Heavy rain the day before left evidence of fresh bear tracks near my vantage point..... The grizzly population is very high in the area...
