Two New Canadian National Railroad AC locomotives pull the 2.7-3% grade into Luscar, Alberta. The green fields are areas of reclamation from earlier mining activity. Teck's Cardinal River mine currently uses the load-out at Luscar via a long haul road. The processing plant cleans and sizes coal for the steel industry around the world.
