The Central RR of New Jersey Terminal, also know as Comminpaw Terminal and Jersey City Terminal, was constructed in 1889 and was in service until 1967. The terminal was served by the Central RR of New Jersey, the Reading RR, the Baltimore & Ohio RR, and Lehigh Valley RR during its years of operation. During its operation this terminal didn't only serve trains as it also served ferry boats as well. It is estimated that 10.5 million immigrants passed through this terminal during its operation. Now the terminal is part of Liberty State Park and serves thousands of visitors heading to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.
